BLOUSES

What a co-incidence, I had just got this post ready for tomorrow when I clicked over to Karen’s blog http://didyoumakethat.wordpress.com and she is asking for ideas for blouse patterns for her to make up! Have I got blouse patterns! I’ve offered her any of my Vogue ‘unusuals’ [i.e.non-standard shirt-like patterns] she would like to try.

It stands to reason that if you want to wear your own handmade clothes every day, they must be things that you would wear every day. My main daily attire is blouse and skirt, mostly because I have a long body and it has always been difficult to get a dress pattern that has the waist in the right place.

Over time I have collected a fair few blouse patterns, I have skirt patterns too, but tend to draft my own. These below I have already made this year; the McCall pattern I have made twice, once with short sleeves and once with long and will probably make more;
