SPRING?

Beautiful spring day today. I should be out in the back garden getting ready for the Summer, or taking pictures of the beautiful sunshine, but instead I chose to finish my Vogue 7034 ‘blouse’. The pity is that tomorrow will probably be rainy again, but I only had the plackets and cuffs on the sleeves to do and I couldn’t resist.

I think it took me longer to do the placket than the whole blouse ~ or perhaps it just seemed like it. I prefer them to finish the sleeve cuff and have done quite a few, but today I was like a worker that had to be retrained because they’d had a teabreak. I actually had to sit at the table with David Coffin’s ‘Shirtmaker’ book in one hand and the placket and iron in the other [not both at the same time though]. By the time I finished the light had gone and I couldn’t take any pictures. But tomorrow first thing, I’ll try to take some. It could be that I wished I’d been in the garden! Till then…….
