A bit of playing hooky from the ‘serious’ stuff of sewing and just having a bit of fun – going back to childhood really, which can’t be bad. The weather is wet and windy, the days grey and a bit miserable [outside], so what better than to sit and enter into the world of little rabbits? We had fun making them and I am having fun dressing them. Not so strange is that each bun has a different personality – a bit of its creator in it – and the dressing of them requires the same. A bit of consideration of who and what it is for and dressing accordingly.
First up; Caleb’s rabbit [just a word, Caleb’s rabbit is definitely a boy rabbit, but he wasn’t around to model the duffel hoody, so Rosie stepped in to help, that’s why there is a dress peeping out from under – just in case you wondered].
the pink jacket is for Carrie’s rabbit Casey. My two little girls are wearing togs that befit their station in life like me, homespun wool and a ‘no nonsense’ jacket [with just a little flower power]
I must say you can get quite hooked on all this make believe, and I have plans for jeans and a shirt for Caleb’s bun, and boots for all.
What a better way to take a break from this complex, fast moving technology age than to indulge in adorable simple pleasures. I’m completely with you on this.
Thankyou – it is good to have a fellow soul – even at the other end of the world. Some call it second childhood, I think we would call it finally getting a perspective!!
Sorry I didn’t mean that Yorkshire was the other end of the world!!!! Even as a Lancastrian I wouldn’t say that. I got your email address mixed up with another follower from Australia. Perhaps dementia is setting in and I don’t know it yet! Apologies again Maureen.
Lol!
