THE OBLIGATORY

When the sun shines, – garden pictures of course. Today is really a glorious, hot and muggy day with the sun shining and after being rained on with hail stones, no less, just 48 hours ago, the garden has now recovered and is blooming well. So I just had to give them their due.

On other fronts, I have cut out a third Jacket Express, but I haven’t started sewing it yet for a very good reason. Having just made two,  with quite happy results, I didn’t want the usual complacency to kick in like it did when making shirts. I want to sew as I did the first one, with care and fear. Yes, fear! There’s nothing like it to keep you on your toes. But I haven’t been idle, I’ve been knitting. I just had a fancy to use up some wool-stash and do some colour work. I’m making it up as I go along, nothing firm in mind yet.
